On completion of the course, candidates will understand how to install and commission a basic refrigeration system. Covered in depth are pipeworking practices such as bending, flaring and swaging followed by an actual installation together with pressure testing, leak testing, evacuation, charging and commissioning the system. The delegate must first have completed the Basic Refrigeration Training Course (Service) or to have that knowledge and experience. Please note that breaking into any system should only be carried out after completion of the CITB Safe Handling of Refrigerants or the City & Guilds 2078 - Safe Handling of Refrigerants assessment. It is also a strong requirement that candidates know the correct procedures of how to correctly braze pipe work. The CITB Pipework And Brazing Course or the BRA Flame Brazing Assessment will show you how and are highly recommended.
The course is suitable for experienced apprentices, refrigeration and air conditioning engineers and technicians.
Comprehensive course notes are provided.
