Safe Handling of Refrigerants
City & Guilds 2078 - Safe Handling Of Refrigerants.
Elite Specialist Training Ltd. is approved by City & Guilds of London to assess candidates for the Safe Handling of Refrigerants (C & G’s 2078).
The scheme was developed with the assistance of The Air Conditioning Refrigeration Industry Board to tighten up on service and installation standards and covers such items as COSHH, Health & Safety at Work, the Montreal Protocol, the Environmental Protection Act, BS EN 378, LPG’s as refrigerants, Enziotropes (inc. Glide & Slide) and much more. Candidates who undertake this assessment must show that they are competent to handle refrigerants. Candidates are asked questions relating to their underpinning knowledge of the subject and a full hands on assessment generally follows. It is strongly recommended that unless well experienced in refrigeration engineering, this assessment should be taken at the end of one of our training courses. Specific additional training is available to those who require it.
Delegates who successfully pass this assessment may voluntarily have their names entered onto the ACRIB Register Of Certificated Refrigerant Handlers. To remain on the register, candidates must be reassessed every 3 years.
Upgrades from previous assessments, usually take the form of a “questions and answers” session only. This course is available as a 1 day or 2 day module and comprehensive course notes are provided.
